Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the
Fourteenth day of January AD 1868, Between William
P. Scott and Mary E. Scott his wife in the County of Alachua
and aforesaid parties of the first part and Calvin
Waits of the said County & State party of the Second part
part; for and Witnesseth: that the said parties of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred
and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States to them duly
paid before the delivery hereof: Has granted, bargained
and Sold, and by these presents, do, grant, and convey to the
said party of the Second part, His Heirs & assigns forever
all those pieces or parcels of Land, lying East of Lock
=loosa Creek, and being in the County of Alachua and
State of Florida, and which are known and described
as follows Viz
 One Hundred and Twenty four Acres: More or
less, of the South West Quarter of Section Twenty
Nine (29) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty Two
(22): Also a parcel of Land, lying in the
South East part of Section Eighteen (18)
Township Ten (10) Range Twenty One (21) And
Also that of the Fraction lying between the two
parcels above mentioned: and also, as will be
described by the report of the following Survey
Start at the South West corner of Section Twenty
nine(29) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty Two
(22) and run the variation of the **** being
five and a half degrees (5 1/2°) East, One Hundred
and Sixty poles (160) Then North, One Hundred and twenty
four poles (124), Then West three Hundred and Seventy
poles (370) To a water Oak, and Palmetto as pointers
on Lockloosa Creek: Then South Twenty four degrees
West (24) One Hundred and thirty nine poles (139)
including all that parcel lying between this line
and Lockloosa Creek, Then East with the Southern
line of Section Eighteen (18) Township Ten (10)
Range (21) Twenty One to a Stake on fraction
line, Two Hundred and Twelve poles (212) and
North five (5) poles to a Stake; Then **** the frac
=tion Fifty four poles (54) to the South West corner of Section
Twenty nine (29) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty two (22)
also a Strip of land lying immediately in front of
dwelling: two acres (2) and three and half long (3 1/2)
containing together with the Survey Three hundred
and thirty one (331) acres, Three Rods (3) and twelve Rods
(12) more or less. Together with all and Singular
the tenements heridaments and appurtenances and
