Same to the Register of Public Lands, and his Successors
in Office: And Whereas, for default in the payment of
Taxes due on the Tract of Land hereinafter described,
the Same having been duly advertised as the law dire
=cts was Sold on the 16th day of March AD 1868 at
Gainesville in the County of Alachua Florida, where
the undersigned Wm C. Beckam Tax Collector for the
County of Alachua (no person bidding a Sum Suffi
=cient to pay the Taxes and expenses thereon) did
buy in the Said Tract of Land in the name and in
behalf of the State of Florida, Now Therefore by Virtue
and in Consideration of the premises, I the aforesaid Wm
C. Beckam Tax Collector, party of the first part, have
granted, Sold, and Conveyed, and by these presents
do grant, Sell and Convey unto Hugh A. Corley Register
of Public Lands for the State of Florida, and to his
Successors in Office, of the Second part, all that tract of
land herein before referred to, belonging or Supposed
to belong to David W. Price, and lying in Alachua
County and described as follows Viz: (If the land is
Subdivided according to Sections, Townships, and Ranges
give the description in that way; but if it is described by
Corner trees &c give the description in that way) Lots No 1
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 or the whole of Block four (4) Range five
(5) in the Town of Newnansville Containing  ________________
To Have and to hold the aforesaid Tract of Land, and
every part thereof with the appurtinances, unto the Said
party of the Second part, and his Successors as aforesaid
for Such uses and purposes as the General Assembly of
Said State have prescribed by Law

uses and purposes therein expressed
