This Contract made and entered into on this the
Ninth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand
Eight Hundred and Sixty Eight, between John OMally
of the County of Alachua and State of Florida the
party of the first part and John F. Terry of said
County and State the party of the Second part, Witness
=eth: that the said party of the first part has contrac
=ted, covenanted, and agreed, and hereby contract
covenants and agrees to let and deliver the use and
possession of the Second Story including all the
aparatus on the Second floor of a Certain house,
the upper Story of which is now occupied by the
Said OMally as a Bar and Billiard Saloon,
and occupying the North East Corner of a Certain
tract of land in the Town of Gainesville in said
County and State, Known on the map of the Survey
of said town as Lot number (2) Two in Block (3)
Three of Range (2) Two together with the furniture
of said aparatus, Consisting of Four (4) chairs
valued at ($1 50/100) One 50/100 Dollars each, One Water
Cooler valued at Ten Dollars, One ale pump
valued at Twenty Dollars, Four pictures valued
at One 50/100 Dollar each Six Decanters valued at One
50/100 Dollars each, Four large reflecting lamps, valued
at Five Dollars each, Two Small reflecting lamps
Valued at Two Dollars each and Seventy glass Tumblers
Valued at Five dollars to the Said John F. Terry for
the Space and time of One Year, For and in Consider
=ation of the premises, Covenant, and agreement of the
Said Terry to pay to Said OMally, as rent for the use
and occupation of said apartments and furniture
the Sum of Fifty dollars per Month to be paid prompt
=ly at the end of each Month, the first payment of
Said rent to be due on the ninth day July next =
and the remainder to be due in Sums of Fifty Dollars
on the ninth day of each Successive month for one year
and the Said Terry in Consideration of the premises
aforesaid, the use and occupation of said apartments
and furniture, Covenants, and agrees to pay Said rent
to the said OMally in Manner and form as aforesaid
And the said OMally hereby Covenants to warrant
and defend the Said Terry in the peaceable possession
