in Township Ten South of Range Twenty two East
containing Eighty 33/100 acres of land And whereas I
executed & delivered to the said S.B. Adkins for the pur
-chase of the Land aforesaid my three certain promissory
notes for the Sum of Eight hundred & Ten dollars each,
payable to the said S.B. Adkins or bearer in manner
following "To wit" the first note payable Twelve Months
after date with 8 per cent interest - the 2nd note payable
on the 10th of December 1861 with 8 per cent interest & the 3rd
note payable on the 10th day of December AD 1862, with 8 per
Cent interest, And whereas the said promissory notes are
Still at the date of these presents unpaid & whereas the said
S.B. Adkins has this day Surrendered to me the said
promissory notes delivered to me amounting in all to the Sum
of Twenty four hundred & Thirty Dollars with interest on the
Same as above Specified, I have bargained, Sold, quit
Claim & delivered to the said S.B. Adkins all my right
title & interest in and to the parcels of land above described
together with the houses, buildings, improvements and
appurtinances to the Same belonging or in any wise apper
=taining To Have and to hold the Same to the said
S.B. Adkins his heirs Executors or administrators & assigns
in fee forever -- In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set
my hand & affixed my Seal on this 21st day of March AD
