County of Alachua } This Agreement made this the
27th day of February AD 1868 Between E. & S.J. Bauknight
of the State and County aforesaid of the one part and Wm
R. Mills of the other part: Witnesseth that the said E. &
S.J. Bauknight as aforesaid promise and agree to
furnish from their Store in Micanopy, Such goods as they
may have in hand, and which the said Wm R. Mills party
of the Second part may need to enable him to make a
Crop the present year The said goods or Supplies to be fur
=nished at a reasonable price, That the Said Wm R. Mills
party of the Second part in Consideration of the Said promises
and agreement of the said E. & S.J. Bauknight, do hereby promise
and agree and by the agreement bind himself his heirs and
Executors and assigns to its faithful performance Viz That
he will deliver or assign a Sufficient quantity of ginned
Cotton as Soon as ginned unto the said E. & S.J. Bauknight
as aforesaid, their heirs or assigns to Satisfy or Secure their
payment to them of all Such demands or claims as may
have accrued against him for goods or Supplies furnished
him during the present year to enable him to make a crop as
aforesaid He further promises that at the expiration of
each three Months or quarterly from the first day of January
last passed he will pay interest on the amount of each
quarterly Sum due from the expiration of said quarterly
period to the end of the year or untill final Settlement or
payment For and in Consideration of Such Supplies or
goods furnished as aforesaid he hereby gives a lien upon
his whole Cotton Crop made or shall be made the present
year unto the said E. & S.J. Bauknight claims as aforesaid
Shall be Satisfied or paid - In Witness Whereof he have
hereunto Signed his name and placed his Seal the day
and year above mentioned his
