Alachua County   } This agreement made this the 20th day
of March 1868 Between E. & S.J. Bauknight of the State and
County aforesaid of the One Part and J. Thos Adams of
the other part, Witnesseth that the Said E. & S.J. Bauknight as
aforesaid promise and agrees to furnish from their Store in 
Micanopy Such goods as they may have on hand, and which 
the Said J. Thos Adams party of the Second part may need to 
enable him to make a crop the present year, The said goods 
or Supplies to be furnished at a reasonable rate or price
That the Said J. Thos Adams party of the Second part in Consid
=eration of the Said promise and agreement of the Said E. & 
S.J. Bauknight, do hereby promise and agree and by his
agreements bind himself his heirs Executors and assigns to 
its faithful performance Viz that he will deliver or assign a 
Sufficient quantity of ginned Cotton as Soon as ginned 
unto the Said E. & S.J. Bauknight as aforesaid their heirs 
and assigns to Secure to them the payment of all Such demands
or claims as may have accrued against them for goods or 
Supplies furnished him J.T. Adams during the present year 
to enable him to make a crop as aforesaid - He further 
promises that at the expiration of each three Months or 
Quarterly from the 20th of March he will pay interest on 
the amount of each quarterly Sum due to the end of the
year untill final Settlement or payment be made, For 
and in Consideration of Such Supplies and goods furn
=ished as aforesaid he hereby gives a lien upon his whole
Cotton Crop made or Shall be made this year untill the 
Said E. & S.J. Bauknight claims or demands Shall be
Satisfied or paid. In Witness whereof I J.T. Adams hereunto
