mentioned and declared), all the estate, right, title, interest, property,
claim, and demand whatsoever, either in law or equity, which
they the said Board of County Commissioners have in, to, or upon
all and singular the South half of a certain lot, or piece of land,
situate, lying & being in the Town of Gainesville, in the County and
State aforesaid, described on the original plan of said Town as
follows, to wit: The South half of Block No 4, Range 8, Town of
Gainesville, containing three quarters of an acre of ground
more or less, together with all and singular the tenements,
hereditaments, privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging:
To Have and To Hold all and singular the above mentioned
and described lot or piece of land, situate, lying and being
as aforesaid, together with all and singular the tenements,
hereditaments, privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging,
unto them the said O.A. Myers, T.J. Piggot, H.E. Forsyth, S.J.
Peeler and A.P. Hampton, and their successors in office forever
in trust, that they will hold the same, and the house or
houses erected or to be erected thereon, for the worship and
use of the members of the Methodist Episcopal Church,
South, according to the rules and discipline which from
time to time may be agreed upon and adopted by the clerical
and lay members and representatives of the said Church
at their General Conferences; and in further trust and confi=
dence that they shall at all times, forever hereafter, permit such
ministers and preachers belonging to the said Church, as shall
from time to time be duly authorized by the General Conferences
of the ministers and preachers of the said Methodist Episcopal
Church, South, or by the Annual Conferences authorized by the
said General Conference, to preach and expound God's Holy
Word therein. And the said Junius C. Gardner, as President
of the Board of County Commissioners as aforesaid, doth and
will by these presents warrant and forever defend, all and
singular the before mentioned and described lot or piece of
land, with the tenements, hereditaments, privileges and
appurtenances thereto belonging, unto them the said O.A.
Myers, T.J. Piggot, H.E. Forsyth, S.J. Peeler and A.P. Hampton,
and their successors, chosen and appointed as aforesaid,
from the claim of said County Commissioners of Alachua
and Town of Gainesville, by virtue of the law and order for
the sale thereof.
In testimony whereof the said Board of County
Commissioners, by their President, as aforesaid,
