Alachua County   } This Indenture made the first day of 
June in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred 
and Sixty Eight (1868) between William C. Beckam Tax assessor 
and Collector of the first part and John R. Bevill of the 
Same State and County of the Second part, Witnesseth That 
Whereas the said party of the first part as Tax assessor and 
Collector of said State and County by virtue of Authority vested 
in him as Such by law having levied upon and duly and 
legally advertised the property herein after described and 
herein granted, and the Said party of the Second part 
being the highest bidder for the Same at public Auction he
bidding One hundred and thirty 83/100 Dollars for the Same
and the Same being Sold to the said party of the Second 
part in Conformity with the Statutes in Such case made 
and provided, The said party of the first part for and in
Consideration of the said Sum of One hundred and
thirty 83/100 Dollars to him in hand paid by the party of the 
Second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
does hereby bargain, Sell and Convey to the said party of the 
Second part his heirs and assigns, The following described
property To wit All that certain piece or parcel of land
lying and being in the County of Alachua, and State of
Florida, Known and described a follows to wit: Section
thirty five and Thirty Six and Twenty five in Range Eighteen
Township ten Containing Nineteen hundred & twenty acres
the Same being Sold to Satisfy the State and County Taxes 
of John Whitaker, Together with all and Singular the
rights titles interest and appurtinances thereunto belonging
or in any wise appertaining which the said John Whitaker
had in the said property and the same to hold as fully
as I the said Tax assessor and Collector as aforesaid in
pursuance of the Statutes, might Could or ought to Sell the
Same In Witness whereof I the said William C. Beckam, Tax
assessor and Collector as aforesaid, have hereunto Set my hand
hand and Seal this day and year first above written
