Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the fifteenth
day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hun
=dred and Sixty Eight (1868) between William C. Beckam of said
State and County as Tax Assessor & Collector of the first part 
and John R. Bevill and James Beattie of the same State and 
County of the Second part Witnesseth that whereas the 
Said party of the first part as Tax Assessor and Collector 
of said State and County by virtue of authority vested in him 
as Such by law having levied upon and duly and legally 
advertised the property herein after described, and hereinafter
granted, and the said parties of the Second part being the 
highest bidders for the Same at public Auction they bidding 
Eighty Six Dollars for the Same and the same being sold 
to the said parties of the Second part in Conformity with the 
Statutes in Such case made and provided - The said 
party of the first part for and in Consideration of the said 
Sum of Eighty Six Dollars to him in hand paid by the parties
of the Second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
does hereby bargain, Sell and Convey to the said parties of 
the Second part their heirs and assigns, The following descry
=bed property to wit, All that tract or parcel of land lying and 
being in the County of Alachua and State of Florida, Known 
and described as follows to wit, Section Eight (8) Township
Nine (9) Range Eighteen (19) Containing Six hundred & forty 
acres the Same being Sold to Satisfy the State and County 
Taxes of J.M. Hendry - Together with all and Singular the
rights title interest and appurtinances thereunto belonging
or in any wise appertaining which the said J.M. Hendry
had in the property and the same to hold as fully as I the 
said Tax assessor and Collector as aforesaid in pursuance 
of the Statutes Might Could or ought to Sell the Same - In 
Witness Whereof I the said Wm C. Beckam Tax assessor and Collector 
as aforesaid have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this day and
