Merchandise of Various Kinds and Money by the said
Prescott & Seagles to the said Enoch Edwards, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the further
Consideration that the said parties of the Second part
(Prescott & Seagle) Shall and will make Such further
advances in provisions, Supplies and assorted Merchan
=dise, as may be necessary to enable the party of the first
part (Enoch Edwards) to make and harvest and
prepare for Market the said Crops, Such further adv
=ances not to exceed One hundred dollars, as also
the Sum of Five dollars to the said Enoch Edwards
party of the first part in hand paid by the Said
Prescott & Seagles parties of the Second part, at or before
the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained, Sold,
and Conveyed, and by these presents doth grant bargain
Sell and Convey unto the Said parties of the Second
part, and their assigns, all the right, title and
interest of the said party of the first part, his heirs
Executors, and administrators, in and to the Crops
of every Kind and description now growing and being
Cultivated on the lands Known as the Mrs P.L. Standley
Laurel Hill Plantation, Situated in Alachua County,
To have and to hold all and Singular the Crops
above bargained and Sold, or intended So to be, unto
the Said parties of the Second part, their Executors
administrators and assigns forever. And I the said
Enoch Edwards party of the first part, for myself, my
heirs, executors and administrators, all and Singular
the said property above bargained, Sold and Conveyed
unto the Said parties of the Second part, their heirs
Executors, administrators and assigns, against me the
Said party of the first part and against all and
every person or persons whomsoever, Shall and will
warrant and forever defend, upon Condition that if I
the said party of the first part, Shall and do well
and truly pay unto the Said parties of the Second part,
their heirs Executors, administrators or assigns, the full
amount of the advances, aforesaid made, and to be
made to me by the said parties of the Second part with
their charges for Commissions, and interest in the same
on or before the first day of November 1868, and faith
=fully Keep, observe, and perform all and Singular
the agreements, and Covenants, herein contained, then
these presents to be Void, Else to remain in full force
and Virtue, And I the Said party of the first
part, for myself, my Executors, administrators, and
assigns, do Covenant and agree to and with
