This Indenture made and entered into this the
third day of August in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and sixty eight between
Solomon Wilks and his wife Laura Wilks of the County
of Alachua & State of Florida parties of the first part
and Hannah Priest of the same place parties of 
the second part Witnesseth, that the said parties 
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum
of Two hundred dollars lawful money of the United
States to them in hand paid before the delivery
hereof hath bargained and sold and by these presents
doth grant and convey to the said party of the second
part their heirs and assigns forever, all that certain
piece or parcel of land lying and being in the
County of Alachua and State of Florida and described
as follows the North West quarter of the North East
quarter of Section Twenty one Township Eight south of
Range twenty one East containing forty acres more or less
Together with all and singular the tenements heredit
-aments and appurtinances and all the Estate with
title interest claims, dower or right of dower and dem
=ands whatsoever, of the said parties of the first part
and the said parties of the first part doth hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the second
part that at the time of the delivery hereof the parties of
the first part is lawfully seized in fee simple of
the above granted premises in fee simple absolute and 
that they will warrant and defend the above granted
premises unto the said party of the second part their
heirs and assigns forever - In Witness whereof we have

Alachua County   } Before the subscriber a Justice of the
Peace in and for said County personally came Solomon
Wilks and Lauranna Wilks parties to these presents
and severally acknowledged that they signed the foregoing
deed for the purposes there in contained and the said
Lauranna Wilks being examined by me separate and 
apart from her said husband declares that she signed
the foregoing deed freely and voluntarily and without fear
or compulsion of her said husband, In testimony whereof
