   This indenture made and entered into on this fourteenth 
day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and sixty eight by and between William Strickland of
the County of Alachua and State of Florida party of the first
part and J.M. Sparkman of the same County and State par
ty of the second part.
    Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in considera
tion of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the Uni
ted States to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and deliver
ing and delivered of these presents the receipt is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these pres
ents doth grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract
lot or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Alach
ua & State of Florida and known and described as follows the
Northeast quarter of the South West quarter and the South East quarter
of the North West quarter of section No Thirty four Township eight
South of range Twenty-one East containing Eighty three acres together with
all with all and singular the tenements and appertenances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold the herein before describe land unto the said party
of the second his heirs and assigns forever

  Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I Isabella
S. Strickland wife of William Strickland for and in consideration
of the sum of five dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged do hereby renounce and relinquish unto the aforesaid
James M. Sparkman party of the second part all my rights title and
interest of Dower that I may have in or to the foregoing describe
land
