possession of the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns against the said party of the
first part, his heirs and against all and every person
whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same
shall and will warrant and by these presents forever
defend, the words quarter of, on line sixteen and the words
containing forty acres more or less on the same line were
interlained before signed.

  Know all men by these presents that I Smithy Ann
Peacock wife of John W. Peacock within named for and
in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in
hand paid by Ann Carlton at and before the ensealing
and delivery of these presents have remised released
and forever quit claimed and by the presents remise
and release and forever quit claim unto the said
Ann Carlton and her heirs and assigns, And all manner
of Dower and right and title of Dower and other interest
right or title whatsoever which I the said Smithy Ann
Peacock have may, might, shared or by right have or claim
of in to or out of the within described premises and
every right with the appurtenances granted unto the
said Ann Carlton and every part and parcel thereof.
      And I the said Smithy Ann Peacock do hereby
acknowledge and declare that I freely and voluntarily
renounce and relinquish all my Dower and right and
title of Dower in the premises within named without any
compulsion, constraint apprehension or fear from my said
husband, the said John W. Peacock.
   I testimony whereof and witness I have hereunto
set my hand and seal, this 12th day of December the
year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & Sixty three.

of December 1863 came before me Smithy Ann
Peacock wife of John W. Peacock who executed the
