State of Florida }
Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the Nine
tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight
between Stephen McCall of the County and State aforesaid of the
first part and James H. Roper of said County and State of the
second part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the
United States, to him duly paid before the delivery hereof, hath bar-
gained and sold, and by these presents doth grant and Convey to the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, all that
piece or parcel of land, lying and being situate in the County of
Alachua and State aforesaid, and which is known and de=
scribed as follows: viz, In Section No 4, Township 10 and Range 20
East Commencing Thirty feet North of the North East Corner
of George Savage's lot and due West five Chains and fifty
links to within forty feet of T.W. Johnson's line, Thence North
Nine Chains and fifty links to the section line, Thence North
five Chaines and forty links to a Street running directly North
and South between W.P. Scott and D.G. Anderson on one
side and Rain, McCall and others on the other side, Thence South
Nine Chains and Fifty links to the place of beginning, bounded on
the North by James Beatie on the East by D.G. Anderson on the
South by George Savage and on the West by T.C. Johnson, Con=
taining Nine acres more or less, together with all and singular the
tenements, hereditaments and appurtinances and all the estate title and
interest of the said party of the first part therein -
  And the said party of the first part doth hereby covenant and
agree with the said party of the second part, that at the time of the
delivering hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful owner of
the above granted premises, and seized thereof in fee simple abso=
lute, and that he will warrant and defend the above granted prem
ises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the
second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and against all
claims of all persons whatsoever, In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this the nineteenth day of May one thou=
sand eight hundred and sixty eight   }
