Alachua County   } This Indenture made the 30th day
of October A.D. 1868 between George A. Quinby and Garth W.
James, all of the State and County aforesaid, Witnesseth
That for and in consideration of the sum of Ten thousand
Dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand
paid by the said Garth W. James the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, does by these presents give, grant
bargain, Sell and Convey unto the said Garth W. James
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these
his heirs executors, administrators and assigns, an
undivided interest of three fourths on and to all that
certain piece or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the State and County aforesaid and within the limits
of the "Arredondo Grant" and known on the map of
said Grant and known on the map of said Grant
made by Messrs Burr and Washington as lands granted
to D.L. Clinch containing One thousand acres and
bounded as follows, to wit, on the north by lands granted
to Thomas Napier, On the East by Section (20) Twenty Township
(10) Ten Range 20 twenty of the "Arredondo Grant" on the
South by lands granted to John H. McIntosh, On the
West by fractional Section (24) Twenty four Township (10) Ten
Range (19) Nineteen of the Arredondo Grant, Together with
also an undivided interest of three fourths in and to all
the privileges and appurtinances thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said
undivided interest of three fourths, in and to the above
named premises to the said Gath W. James his heirs, executors
administrators and assigns in fee Simple, And the said
George A. Quinby will and by his heirs, Executors and adminis
=trators, and assigns in fee Simple Shall the said property
to the said Garth W. James his heirs Executors, administrators
and assigns forever warrant and defend
                          And I Mary G. Quinby for the
Consideration aforesaid, and for divers other good and
valuable consideration do hereby release, relinquish and
quit claim unto the said Garth W. James, his heirs Executors
administrators, and assigns all my right, claim and probali
=lity of dower to the property herein conveyed ~~ In testimony
whereof we the said George A. Quinby and Mary G. Quinby have
hereunto Set our hands and affixed our seals this day and
year above written
