County of Alachua } I, J.A.C. Jones of State and County
aforesaid of the first part doth agreed with J.R. Bowden of aforesaid
State and County on the second part that I, first aforesaid
party, doth bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to
sell and convey in fee simple by sufficient deed to said party of
the second part, a piece or parcel of land containing a part
of twenty five feet by depth of sixty feet lying in the town of Gaines
ville State and County aforesaid and known and distinguished as
the Eastern portion of the South half of Lot No 1 Block (3) Range
(4) provided said party of the second parlays to said party of the first
part the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars with interest from the
first of May eighteen hundred and sixty-eight on the first day of
January eighteen hundred and sixty-nine.  Said party of the sec
cond part having this day paid to said party of the first part the sum
of one hundred and fifty dollars receipt of which is hereby acknowl
edged.  It is further agreed by respective parties that this instrument
of writing shall be void and of no effect unless the aforesaid sum
and interest shall be paid as the time and manner aforesaid.
It is further agreed that the small portion of the building on aforesaid
parcel of land is not included herein and is to be removed whenever
said party of the second part is ready to build on said parcel of
land, or at an earlier period if desired by said party of the first part.
  In witness of aforesaid agreement we hereunto set our hands and
seals this first day of May Eighteen hundred and sixty eight.

of the State and County aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum
of one hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid to me by M.G. David
son doth grant bargain and sell unto the said M.E. Davison my rights
and claim to the within described property and will ever warrant
