Alachua County   }  This Indenture made and entered
into this the Twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred & sixty eight, between John OMally of
said State & County of the first part, and James Beattie of
same State & County of the second part.  Witnesseth
that the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Forty five hundred dollars
to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby ack
nowledged hath bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed
unto the said party of the second part his heirs, execu
tors, administrators and assigns all that certain lot or
parcel of land lying and being situated in the Town of
Gainesville in said State and County as described as Block
Two (2) Range Three (3) Lot three (3) on the West side of
the Court House Square in said Town, containing sixty feet
front and running back two hundred feet wide all the
rights, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging
in an any wise appertaining to have and to hold
the aforementioned property unto the said James
Beattie his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever
And the said party of the first part for himself and
his heirs Executors and administrators does forever
warrant the same unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever  And for the
consideration above expressed and for divers other
good and lawful consideration, I Josephine M. OMally wife
of the Grantor herein do by these presents, relinquish, renounce
and quit claim all right of dower or other interest in
said above granted premises unto the said James Beattie
his heirs, Executors and administrators forever ~ In
testimony whereof both the Grantors herein the said John
OMally and his wife the said Josephine M. OMally have
hereunto affixed their hands and Seals, this the year and
day first above written

Watson Porter      }

State of Florida } Before me Watson Porter a Justice of
Alachua County   } the Peace and Judicial Officer in said
State and County personally appeared Josephine M. OMally
and being examined separate and apart from her
said husband acknowledged that she freely and
voluntarily signed the above deed for the purpose
of relinquishing her right of dower therein this the 12th
day of December AD 1868            Josephine M. OMally
