Alachua County   } Whereas, it is ordered by the Board of County
Commissioners, in and for said County, that the President of said
Board do execute a deed of conveyance of Block Two (2) Range Five
(5), being a lot lying in the Town of Gainesville, according to the surveyed
plan of said Town, together with the hereditaments and appurtenances
thereto belonging, to the legal representative and heirs of John McKinstry,
of said County, deceased, who was the highest bidder for and the pur=
chaser of said lot, at a public sale of the lots of said Town, had by
order of the Board of County Commissioners on the    day of
AD 1856. Therefore, this Indenture Witnesseth, That for and in
consideration of Thirty Six Dollars, the purchase money, to James
B. Bailey, Treasurer of said County, in hand paid, (the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged,) by John McKinstry, in his life
time, I, Theodore C. Gass, President of the Board of County Commissioners,
in and for said County, in performance of said contract of sale,
and in pursuance of the foregoing order, have granted, bargained,
sold and enfeoffed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell
and enfeoff, unto M. Emma McKinstry, James T. McKinstry, and
M. Emma Robertson, the legal representative and heirs of the
said John McKinstry, deceased, the following described parcel of land,
or lot, to wit, Block Two (2) Range Five (5), together with the hereditaments
and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being in the
Town of Gainesville, according to the surveyed plan of said Town,
To Have and To Hold the said premises unto the said M. Emma
McKinstry, James F. McKinstry, and M. Emma Robertson, forever
in fee simple. In witness whereof, I, Theodore C. Gass, President
of the Board of County Commissioners, hereunto set my hand & private
seal, (there being no seal of office), this 19th day of January AD 1869

for his official act and deed, and for the purposes expressed therein.
