County of Alachua }  This Indenture made this the twentieth day of
August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred &
sixty eight between Simon J. Temple of the State and County above
mentioned party of the first part and Samuel Thomas of the same State
and County party of the second part Witnesseth That the said Si=
mon J. Temple for and in consideration of the sum of six
hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt hereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold & by these presents
doth grant, bargain sell and Convey & confirm unto the said
Samuel Thomas his heirs executors administrators and assigns
forever all and singular that certain piece or parcel of land
situated in the County of Alachua & State of Florida described as fol-
lows the North west quarter of the South East quarter and the North
East quarter quarter of the South west quarter and the West half of
the North west quarter and the South East quarter of the north 
west quarter of Section one and the North quarter of the North East
quarter of Section two, Township Eight south range Twenty one East
containing Two hundred and forty acres more or less together with all and
singular the tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging and all
the estate title and interest thereunto belonging to have and to hold
in fee simple forever - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this the twentieth day of August one thousand Eight
hundred and sixty Eight

  Alachua County   } It is hereby agreed between Adam A. Robin=
son and Daniel V. Stroble That the said Strobel is to have for Cul=
tivation for the present year the place as the Townsend place three
miles North of Newnansville and on the West side of the road from
Newnansville and to Lake City for the rent or sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars for which sum the said Stroble has this day given
his note to said Robinson bearing even date with these presents and
due the fifteenth of December next - And it is further hereby agreed
