Alachua County   } This Indenture made this Twenty eighth
day of December AD 1868 between James B. Brown and Anna W.
Brown his wife of the County of Alachua and State of Florida of the
first part, and Abraham Jones of Edgefield County and State of 
South Carolina, of the second part, Witnesseth that the said par=
ties of the first part for and in consideration of one hundred
and fifty Dollars paid by the party of the second part hath bargained
sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant bargain sell and
convey to the said Abraham Jones his heirs and assigns forever, all
that certain piece or lot of land in the town of Gainesville Alachua
County Florida being the west half of Lot No 6 of Section five Town=
ship ten, Range Twenty, containing Five acres less fifteen feet on one side
and one end, To have and to hold the same, together with all and sin=
gular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances and all and
singular the Estate, Title and Interest of the parties of the first part
therein, and the said parties of the first part doth hereby covenant and
agree with the said Abraham Jones that at the time of delivery hereof,
the said parties of the first part are the lawful owners of the premises above
granted, and that they will warrant and forever defend the same against
all persons hereinafter claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
