day of December AD 1868 between S.F. Halliday of the County and
State aforesaid party of the first part and Tillman Gordon
of the second part of the same place, Witnesseth, That the party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty
dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant,
and convey unto the said party of the second part, all that
certain piece or parcel or tract of land lying and being in
the County and State aforesaid and Known by the United
States Surveys as the South East Quarter of North West
quarter of Section Number (11) Eleven Township number (11) Eleven
of Range number Twenty two East containing forty acres (40)
To have and to hold the above described premises to the
party of the second part, together with all the appurtinances
and to his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, and the
above described tract of land to the party of the second part
his heirs and assigns the party of the first part his heirs
and assigns will warrant and forever defend against
the claim or claims of all persons whomsoever - In
witness whereof the party of the first part hath hereunto
set his hand and seal the day and year first above written
