Alachua County   } This Indenture made and this Eight
eenth day of May one thousand, eight hundred and
sixty eight between James H. Roper of the County of Al=
achua and State aforesaid of the first part and Henry
Avera of the same residence of the second part, Wit=
nesseth that the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty
dollars, lawful money of the United States, to him duly
paid before the delivery hereof, hath bargained and
