Alachua County   } This Indenture made this 25" day of 
March AD 1868, between William C. Beckam, Tax Asses=
sor and Collector of the County and State aforesaid party of 
the first part and Wade H. Sparkman of the said
County and State parties of the second part
Witnesseth, that whereas the said William C. Beckham, Tax As=
sessor and Collector as aforesaid, did by virtue of the authority 
vested in him, on the 18" day of December, AD 1867, levy upon 
and seize the property hereinafter described, and whereas the said
William C. Beckham as Tax Assessor and Collector as aforesaid did
in Conformity with the Statutes in such cases made and provided
duly advertise the said property for sale on the Eighteenth day of
December AD 1867 and on this day did on this day sell the same
at auction to Wade H. Sparkman the parties of the second part
as aforesaid for the sum of Thirty two ($32.00) dollars being the
highest sum bid for the same
  Now therefore, know ye, that I, the said William C. Beckham as
said Tax Assessor and Collector by Virtue of Authority in me
vested and of the Statutes in such cases made and provided in
consideration of the said sum of Thirty two dollars ($32.00) to me
by the parties of the second part, have granted, bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said 
parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever all that
certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of 
Alachua, and State of Florida, Known and described as follows 
to wit: The West 1/2 half of North East 1/4 quarter and East 1/2 half of
North West 1/4 quarter and South East 1/4 quarter of North East quar
ter and North 1/2 half of South East 1/4 quarter and North West quar
ter of South West 1/4 quarter of Section 29 Township twenty nine Township 7
seven Range 21 twenty one levied upon and sold as the property of Flori=
da Rail Company to satisfy State and County Taxes.
 Together with all and singular the rights, titles, interest and appurtenances 
thereunto belonging, and the same to hold as fully or in any wise appertaining 
which the said Florida Rail Road Company had in the said property, and 
the same to hold as fully as I, the said Tax Assessor and Collector as afore=
said in pursuance of the Statutes, might, Could or ought to sell the same 
    In Witness whereof, I the said William C. Beckman, Tax Assessor and 
Collector as aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and
