   This Indenture, made the fifteenth day of Feby in
the year one thousand Eight hundred and sixty nine, between
J.R. Fonville, of the Town of Gainesville, in the County of Al=
achua, and State of Florida, of the first part, and Paul
McCormick of Cedar Keys Fla of the second part.
Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in con-
sideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in Gold, to him
duly paid before the delivery hereof, hath bargained and sold,
and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said party of the sec=
ond part, his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel
of land, lying and being in the town of Gainesville, in the County
of Alachua and State of Fla and which is known and described
as follows to wit
The west half of the west half Lot No 20, it being a part of a
two acre lot purchased by Wm H. Bracy of Charles W. Brush's ad
dition to Gainesville, measuring ninety five feet East and
West, and two hundred feet North and South, Together with
all and singular, the tenements, hereditaments, appurtenances
and all the Estate, title, and interest of the said party of the first
part therein. And the said party of the first part, doth hereby cove=
nant and agree with the said party of the second part, that at the
time of the delivery hereof, the said party of the first is the lawful
owner of the premises above granted, and seized thereof in fee sim=
ple absolute, and that he will warrant and defend the above gran=
ted premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party
of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. 
     In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
fifteenth day of February one thousand Eight hundred and sixty nine
