             County of Alachua } This Indenture made this the 1st day 
             of February A.D. 1869 between George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County of 
             the first part, and James A. Simonton of Alachua County of the 
             second part, Whereas by virtue of sundry writs of fieri facias issued out 
             of the Circuit Court of Alachua County and to the said Sheriff delivered,
             he was commanded that of the goods and chattels, land and ten-
             ements of John O. Cosby administrator of the Estate of John H.
$1.00 U.S.   Cosby deceased, he cause to be made the sum of Three hundred 
  I.R.       dollars and twenty nine and 65/100 dollars with interest thereon and 
             costs of souit which Ervin & Hardee lately recovered in the Circuit
             Court of Alachua County, viz. on the 12" day of October AD 1866
             as also the sum of Ninety eight and 15/100 dollars with Interest there=
             on and costs of costs of suit which William Edwards lately recovered
             in the Circuit Court of Alachua County, viz: on the 18" day of Nov-
             ember A.D. 1868, against said John as also the sum of Fifty
             five and 42/100 dollars with interest thereon and costs of suit which
             Reuben S. Stoughton lately recovered in the Circuit Court of Al=
             achua County viz 17" day of November A.D. 1868, against said John
             O. Cosby administrator of the Estate of John H. Cosby deceased,
             and whereas the said Sheriff by virtue of said writs did on the 25"
             day of December A.D. 1868, levy upon and seize the property here=
             in after described and whereas the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff 
             as aforesaid did by virtue of said writs and pursuant to the 
             Statute in such cases made and provided duly advertise 
             the said property for sale on Monday the 1st day of February A.D. 1869
             being the day of the date of these presents, and did on this day sell 
             the same at public auction according to law to the said
             James A. Simonton of Alachua County for the sum of six hun=
             dred and twenty five dollars, being the highest bidder for the same, 
             Now therefore Know ye that I the said George L. Barnes as said
             Sheriff by virtue of the said writs in such cases made and provi=
             ded in consideration of the said sum of six hundred and twenty five 
             dollars to me paid by the party of the second part, have granted
             sold, and by these presents do granted, and by these presents do
             grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part 
             his heirs and assigns forever all the following property to wit -
             Section Thirty five, Township Eleven, Range twenty, Containing
             six hundred and forty acres, also the east half of the North=east
             quarter of Section Twenty three, Township Ten, Range Seventeen, East,
             A house and one acre lot in Micanopy, Also the South half of Sec
             tion Twenty seven, Township Eleven, Range Twenty, containing
             Three hundred acres, together with all the rights titles and inter-
             ests which the said John O. Cosby administrator of the Estate of John
             H. Cosby deceased, had in the said property jointly and severally, 
             and the same to hold as fully as the said Sheriff as afore-
             said under said writs might, could or ought to sell and convey the 
             same.
