Alachua County   } Received of Mrs Jessie R. Whaley the
Sum of One hundred Dollars for and in Consideration of a
Certain tract, or parcel of Land Containing four hun
=dred acres more or less, lying and being in the County and
State aforesaid, as described in the Tax Collectors deed
and held by me, and which said Lands, I hereby agree
and promise to Convey to the Said Jessie R. Whaley or legal
representative, all the right, title and interest Conveyed by
the tax Collectors and made and executed to me on the
16th day of March AD 1869

Alachua County   } This Indenture, made this fifth day of
March in the year one thousand eight hundred and Sixty
nine, between James H. Roper, of the State and County
aforesaid of the first part and Henry C. Dozier of the same
residence of the second part. Witnesseth, that the party of the first
part, for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred and
fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States to him duly paid
before the delivery hereof, hath bargained and sold, and by these presents
doth grant and Convey to the said party of the second part, his
heirs and assigns forever, one half interest in all that certain
piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Town of Gainesville,
State and County aforesaid, which is known and described on the
Map of said Town as follows to wit: The Lot commencing at the
North East Corner of Lot number two (2) Block number three (3) Range
No one (1) extending Sixty (60) feet east and West and forty seven
(47) feet North and South, Containing two thousand eight hun=
dred and twenty (2820) square feet more or less, and it is hereby
agreed and understood that James H. Roper, his heirs and
assigns is to occupy and enjoy the lower story of the building to
be erected on said Lot, and Henry C. Dozier, his heirs and as-
signs is to occupy the upper story of said building with ingress
and egress thereto, together with all and singular the one half in-
