writ of Execution, did on the 16th day of January AD
1869 levy upon and Seize the property herein after descr
=ibed, and Whereas the Said George L. Barnes as Sheriff 
as aforesaid did by Virtue of said Writ and pursu
=ant to the Statutes in Such Case made and provided
did advertise the said property for Sale on Monday
the first day of March AD 1869 being the day of the date 
of these presents, and did on this day Sell the Same at 
public Auction according to Law to the Said Miss Jane
Scott of Alachua County through her Agent W. Wash
Scott of the County and State aforesaid for the Sum of 
Forty dollars and fifty Cents being the highest bidder for
the Same Now therefore Know ye that I the said George 
L. Barnes as said Sheriff by virtue of the said writ in 
Such case made and provided in Consideration of the 
Said Sum of Forty 50/100 dollars to me in hand paid by 
the Party of the Second part, have granted, Sold and by 
these presents do grant bargain and Sell unto the party of 
the Second part her heirs and assigns forever, all the following 
property to wit The South East Quarter of the North East quarter
of Section five Township Eight South of Range Twenty East
Containing forty more or less together with all the rights
titles, and interest of which the said James Bevill had in the 
Said property Jointly and Severally, and the same to hold 
as fully as I the said Sheriff aforesaid under said writ
might, Could or ought to Sell and Convey the same
Given under my hand and Seal, this the 1st day of March AD
