dollars which sum the said Thomas has paid
to the said Brush as is hereby acknowledged
  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that in consideration
of the premises and of the sum of one dollar the
said Brush as Executor aforesaid doth grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said Thomas all that
piece or parcel of land being two hundred feet
from North to South and four hundred feet from East
to West, in Alachua County Florida designated as
Lot number Eighteen (18) of Brush addition to Gainesville
as described upon a plat of the same filed in the office
of the Clerk of said county of Alachua being part of
the same property which was set aside and confirmed
to the heirs of the said Nehemiah Brush deceased by
the circuit court of St Johns County Florida in the case
of Brush and others against Hall and others as by
reference to the papers in said case filed with the
Clerk of the said County of Alachua will more fully
appear. Together with all and singular the estate
right title and interest which the said Testator
had in his life time and at the time of his deceased
of in and to the same. To have and to hold the
above described premises with the appurtenances
unto the said James T. Thomas his heirs and assigns
forever.

                I certify that before me a Com-
missioner appointed by the Governor of Florida and
duly qualified to take the acknowledgement of Deeds &c
in the State of Maryland which are to be used or
recorded in the said State of Florida personally appeared
Chas W. Brush to me personally known to be the
party described in and who Executed the foregoing Deed &
acknowledges the same to be his act.
            In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and
affix my seal of Office this twenty first day of January one
thousand eight hundred & sixty seven.
