This Indenture made and entered into this the first of
day of April Anno Domini one thousand Eight hundred and
Sixty one Between James Bailey of the County of Alachua
and State of Florida party of the first part and Susan J.
McDonell Wife of F.A. McDonnell of the same County and
State party of the second part. Witnesseth, That the said
party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum
of Three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part, at and before the ensealing
and delivery of these presents the reciept whereof is here
=by acknowledged hath granted, bargained Sold aliened
and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain
sell, Alien Convey and confirm unto the said party of
the second part her heirs and assigns, All the following
lot track or parcel of Land, situate lying and being in
the County of Alachua and State of Florida and Known
and distinguished as that lot of land lying contiguous
to the Town of Gainesville beginning at the stake two hun=
=dred and fifty feet from the southern boundary of said
Town on the west side of the continuation of Main
Street being Two hundred feet square on the front of the
continuation of said street and Known and recognized as
the residence of F.A. McDonell Husband of the said party of
the second part. Together with all and singular the right
and members, tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining
To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained premises togeth
=er with all and singular the rights members tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging
unto the said party of the second part her heirs and ass=
=igns to her and their own sole and proper use benefit
and behoof forever in fee simple And the party of
the first part for himself his heirs executors and
administrators do hereby covenant with the said party
of the second part her heirs and assigns that he is
lawfully seized of said premises, as of fee and hath
good and lawful right to sell and convey the same
and that he will, and his heirs, executors and admin
=istrators shall forever Warrant and Defend the title to
said premises unto the said party of the second part her
heirs and assigns against the claim of All persons
and the claim of any and all persons lawfully claiming
or to claim the same, by virtue of these presents In testimony
where of the said party of the first part hath hereunto
set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date
