and recieve the monies for which the same may be sold
Now therefor know all men by these presents that I the said
John E. Hicks do hereby constitute and appoint the said
Howell A. Baisden my true and lawful attorney in fact
for me and in my name to use the said Tumblers Bottles
spoons strainers and other bar Room furniture herein
before described in the business of carrying on keeping
and conducting a Bar Room in said town of Gaines
ville; to sell and dispose of the Liquors herein before des=
cribbed in such maner at such prices and upon such
terms as to my said attorney may seem right and proper
to collect and recieve all moneys which may become due
upon such sales and further to do and perform all and
every act in and about the carrying on and conducting
the said Bar Room business with the said goods as
fully and absolutely as I myself might or could do if
personally present and I do further authorize my said
Attorney whenever the stock of said Bar Room shall
require to be replenished to replenish the same out of
the proceeds and profits of the sales aforesaid all
which powers my said attorney is hereby fully authorized
to exercise, fully and absolutely until by me canceled
and revoked  Witness my hand and seal this the first
day of April A.D. 1869

County of Alachua } William Standley of the County and State
aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Eighteen Hundred
Dollars to me in and paid by Thomas C. Kettles of the County
of Marion and State of Florida the reciept whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and delivered
and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and deliver
unto the said Thomas C. Kettles his heirs Administrators
