State of Florida } This indenture, made this 2nd day
Alachua County   } of December in the year of our Lord
one Thousand Eight hundred and Sixty Eight between
J.R. Fonville of the first part and Reuben Bowden
party of the Second part Witnesseth that J.R. Fonville
party of the first part for and in consideration of the
sum of Three Hundred dollars lawful money well
and truly paid at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the reciept of which is
hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell
and convey unto the said Reuben Bowden party
of the second part his heirs and assigns five
feet more than one half of the East end of that 
lot or parcel of land Situated lying and being
in the town of Gainesville in aforesaid County &
State being the West half of lot No (20) twenty
containing one acre more or less lying in the part
of Gainesville Known as the George R. Fairbanks lots
to have and to hold the said bargained presents to
him Reuben Bowden the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns for ever in fee simple
And the said J.R. Fonville party of the first part
for him self his heirs Executors, Administrators &
assigns said bargained premises with the rights
thereunto belonging or in any wise thereunto appertaining
shall and will warrant and defend the rights
thereunto unto the said Reuben Bowden his heirs
and assigns forever and against the claims and
entry of all parties whomsoever
