rights members Hereditaments and appurtenances to
the Same belonging or in any wise appertaining to
have and to hold all and Singular the premises
above mentioned to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple
and the said parties of the first part their executors
administrators heirs and assigns shall and will for
ever warrant and defend said bargained premises and
the rights and title thereto from and against themselves
and against the claims of all persons whatever

 This Indenture made the twenty eighth day of Sep=
tember in the year one thousand eight hundred and
sixty seven between J.H. Roper of the town of Gainesville
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida of the
first part and Arthur Simmons of the same place of
the second part Witnesseth That the said party of the
first part for and in consideration of the sum of two
hundred and seventy dollars lawful money of the United
States to him in hduly paid before the delivery of these
hereof hath bargained and sold and by these presents
doth grant and convey to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain
piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County
of Alachua and State of Florida and which is Known and
described as follows Situated west of Thomas Littles lot in
section five township ten south range twenty east and
in the southern portion of the town of Gainesville com=
mencing twenty feet west of Thomas Littles north west
corner and is two hundred and twenty feet west from
the street leading from the depot to the town of Gaines
ville and runs west one hundred feet south two hundred
feet east one hundred feet thence north two hundred
feet to the corner of the beginning and bounded on
