Peace in and for the County of Alachua Florida
Sarah Stringfellow wife of William H. Stringfellow
who being examined by me separate and apart
from her said husband acknowledged under her
hand and seal that this relinquishment and
renunciation of Dower in the above described
land is made freely and voluntarily and
without any compulsion constraint apprehend=
sion or fear of or from her said husband

             Sheriff Deed

State of Florida  }
County of Alachua }
                    This Indenture made this first day of March A.D. 1869
by George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County of the first part and Pin-
kusohn of said County and State of the second part. Whereas by virtue of
Sundry writ of Fieri Facias issued out of the Circuit Court of Al=
achua County and to the said Sheriff delivered he was comman
ded that of the goods and chattles, lands and tenements of Jno T. Math
ews, he cause to be made the sum of two hundred and sixty two
84/100 Dollars with Interest thereon and the costs of suit which Gustavis
Follin lately on the fourteenth day of November A.D. 1867 recorded against
said Mathews, as well as the sum of Eight Hundred and sixteen 30/100
dollars, with Interest thereon and costs of suit which J.W. Montgomery
lately on the fourteenth day of November A.D. 1869, recorded against
said Mathews and whereas the said Sheriff by virtue of said
writs did on the twenty Eight day of December A.D. 1868 levy upon
and seize the property hereinafter described, and whereas the said
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid did by virtue of said writs
and pursuant to the Statute in such cases made and provided, duly
advertised the said property for sale on the first Monday in February
