                 This Indenture made on the Eight day of June
in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine between
George S. Riggs & Martha S. Riggs his wife of the first part,
and Benjamin W. Powell, James A. Simonton and George
W. Means Merchants & parteners doing business under the
name and style of B.W. Powell & Co Witnesseth that for and
in consideration of the sum of two Thousand five hun=
dred Dollars to them in hand paid at and before the
signing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part have
given granted bargained sold & delivered and by these presents
do so give grant bargain sell and convey to the party of the second
part the following described real Estate & Personal property, To
Wit that certain parcel of land or town lots commencing
at the North West corner of the certain Town lot now
owned & in the possession of Mrs Harriet W. Faulkner and
running thence North two hundred & thirty feet to the
South West corner of a town lot owned by B.W. Powell &
J.T. McIntosh, thence four hundred and twenty feet East
thence two hundred and thirty feet South, and thence
four hundred and twenty feet to the point of beginning, con=
taining two 21/100 acres more or less, situate in the village of
Micanopy in the County & State aforesaid - To have &
to hold the above described and conveyed real estate & town
lots to them with all and singular the houses, buildings
improvements, Steam Engine & pullies &c, & grist mill
now on said lots, together with all other appurtenances to the same
belonging or in any wise appertaining, unto the said party of
the second part aforesaid in fee simple.
        And the said parties of the first part bargain &
agree that they are seized in fee simple of the prem=
ises aforesaid, that they have good right to sell and con=
vey the same to the party of the second part, and that they
will warrant and defend the same against all
persons claiming or to claim by through or under them

have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals
