Alachua County } This indenture entered into on the first day
of April 1865, Between D.M. Finger & F.V.
Segle on the one part and L. Patterson on the other part
Witnesseth, for and in consideration of Seventy five dollars
the receipt which is hereby acknowledged, the said Finger
& Segle have this day bargained and sold to the said Patterson
the following lot or parcel of land, to wit, Beginning at the N
West corner of T. Patterson lot on South side of street known
at present as foundry lot Running west (105) one hundred
and five feet thence South (315 three hundred and fifteen
feet thence East (105) one hundred & five feet to Patterson lot
thence with Patterson lot line to point of commencement
Section five Township 10 Range 20 Arredondo Grant to have
and to hold to his heirs executors assigns or administrators
the said Finger & Segle does form the covenant with the
said Patterson that they are lawfully Signed of the above
lot of land that they have good right to sell and
will warrant and defend him in the peaceable possession
of the Land against the legal claims of all persons
whomsoever in witness whereof we have warranted
and put our hands and seals the day and year first
above written

Know all men by these presents that I Martha L.
Finger wife of D.M. Finger of the within deed for and in
consideration of one dollar the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, the further consideration of these presents
therein stated have relinquished and released to the said
Patterson all my rights of Dower to the within described lot
of land and I mean this indenture to be as absolute
and entire as I could by an other possible means do in
witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and
seal. This the first day of April 1865
