I Rachael Cathcart wife of Robert L. Cathcart do
hereby acknowledge that the aforegoing relinquishment
and renunciation of Dower is my act & deed & I
hereby declare that the same was made freely &
voluntarily & without any compulsion constraint &
apprehension or fear of or from my said husband

Justice of the Peace in & for the County aforesaid
do hereby certify that the foregoing acknowledgement
was taken, made, signed, & sealed in my presence by
Rachael Cathcart, she at the same time being seperate
& apart from her said husband.

Alachua County   } This Indenture made this October the
twenty first, AD Eighteen Hundred and Sixty nine,
Between Mrs Myrtilla C. Thomas and H.R. Thomas
party of the first part of the above named County and
State and Watson Porter and De Warren L. Barton, partners
under the firm name of Porter & Barton the party of the
second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Nine
Hundred Dollars paid at and before the sealing and
delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath bargained sold and conveyed and
by these presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the
said party of the second part their heirs and assigns all
that piece Lot or parcel of land situated lying and being
in the Town of Gainesville and Known and distinguished
in the original plat and plan of said Town as the West
half of Block (1) one Range (4) four being (200) Two hundred
feet North and South and 98 1/2 ninety eight and one half
feet East and West. To have and to hold said described
premises with all and singular the rights and privileges to
the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the
said party of the second part their heirs & assigns forever
