This Indenture made and entered into this 16th day of
November AD 1869 between James Mason and Mary A.
Mason his wife of the first residing in Marion County
State of Florida and James T. Thomas of the Second
part residing in Alachaua County State of Florida
Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars
good and lawful money of the United States of
the America to them in hand paid at and before
the insealing of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold released
conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do b=
argain sell release convey and confirm unto James =
T. Thomas of the State and County aforesaid the party of
the second part all that certain lot tract and
parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances
situated lying and being in Gainesville Alachaua
County State of Florida land known in the maps
of said town as Block two Range one together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and im=
provements to the same belonging or in anywise appur=
taining and all the Estate right title interest property
possession claim and demand whatsoever of the said
James Mason and Mary A. Mason his wife parties of
the first part either at law or Equity in or to
the said lot parcel or tract of land and premises
with the improvements and every part and parcel
thereof with the appurtinances unto the said James
T. Thomas the party of the second part his heirs Ex=
ecutors administrators and assigns to his own property
use benifit and behoof for ever in fee simple and
the parties of the first part do hereby covenant and 
agree that they are lawfully seized of the above disc=
ribed premises and have a perfect right to dispose of 
the same and hereby bind themselves their heirs Execu=
tors administrators and assigns the said lot tract
and every part and parcel thereof unto the party of the
second part his heirs Executors Administrators and assig=
ns shall and will forever Warrant and Defend
