This Indenture made this the Sixth day
of December AD 1869 by George L. Barnes Sheriff
of Said County of the first part and J.M. Sparkman
of the County of Alachaua of the Second part
Whereas by virtue of authority Sundry writs of fieri
facias issued out of the Circuit Court of
Alachaua County and the Said Sheriff delivered
---------------------- he was commanded that of the goods and chattles
$2.00 US Lands and tenements of William T. Cheves he cause
I.T.R.S. to be made the Sum of Eighty five 75/100 dollars which
Cancelled Ervin and Hardee lately on the 13th day of November 1867
---------------------- together with interest and Costs of Suit as well as
the Sum of Thirty nine 97/100 dollars together with interest
and costs which James M. Hawthorne lately on the
13th day of November AD 1869 recovered against him as
well as the Sum of Eighteen 50/100 dollars (Balance due)
which Messr S. Joseph Adm &c lately on the 11th day of
May AD 1869 recovered against Robert E. Johnson lately on the
day of the date of these presents and did on this day Sell
the Same at public Auction according to law to the
Said James M. Sparkman of the County of Alachaua for
the Sum of One Thousand and Eight hundred Sixteen
07/100 dollars being the highest bidder for the Same.
Now therefore know ye that I the Said Geo
L. Barnes as Said Sheriff by virtue of the Said writs
in Such cases made and provided and in consideration
of Said Sum of Eighteen hundred Sixteen 07/100 dollars
to me paid by the Said party of the Second part
his heirs and assigns forever all the following property
to wit Section twenty three (23) and Twenty Six (26)
in Township Nine (9) Range Twenty and (21) Also Lots one
(1) and (2) of the north east quarter Also lots Eight
(8) Nine (9) and fourteen (14) in Section four (4) Also -
the north east quarter of the North East quarter and
the South west quarter of the North East quarter of
four (4) Township nine (9) Range Twenty two (2) South
and East Containing in all Sixteen Hundred and
fifty four acres more or less
Together with all the rights titles interests and interest of which
the Said William T. Cheves had in the Said property
Jointly and Severally and the Same to hold as fully
