of Suit thereon which James M. Gnone (bearer) lately on
the 5th day of April AD 1869 recovered in the United States
Court --- gainst Said Wm T. Cheves and whereas the
the Said Sheriff by virtue of the Said writs did on the twenty
eighth day of October AD 1869 levy upon and Seize
the property herein after described and whereas the Said 
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid did by virtue
of said writs and pursuant to the Statute in
such case made and provided duly advertise the
Said property for Sale of Monday the 6th day of December
AD 1869 bearing the day of the date of these presents
and did on this day Sell the Same at public auction
according to law to the Said J.M. Sparkman of the
County of Alachaua for the Sum of One Thousand
and Eight hundred Sixteen 07/100 dollars the highest bidder
for the Same
  Now therefore know ye that I, the Said George
L. Barnes as Said Sheriff by virtue of the Said writs
in Such Cases made and provided and in cons=
ideration of the Said Sum of Eighteen hundred Sixteen 07/100
dollars to me paid by the party of the Second part
have granted Sold and by these presence do grant
bargain and Sell unto the Said party of the Second
part his heirs and assigns forever all the following property
to wit Section Twenty three (23) and Twenty Six (26)in 
Township Nine (9) Rane Twenty - one (21) Also Lots One
(1) and Two (2) of the North East quarter Also Lots Seven
(7) and Eight 8) of Section Nine (9) Also lots Eight (8)
Nine (9) and fourteen (14) in Section four (4) Also the 
North east quarter of the North East quarter and the 
South west quarter of the North East quarter Section four 
4 Township nine (9) Range Twenty two (22) South and 
east Containing in all Sixteen Hundred and fifty four 
acres more or less together with all the rights 
titles and interests of which the Said William T. Cheeves 
had in the Said property jointly and Severally and 
the Same to hold as fully as I the Said Sheriff 
as aforesaid under Said writs might could or 
would ought to Sell and convey the Same
     Given under my hand and Seal this the Sixth 
day of December 1869        }
