Before me Wm K. Cessna Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Alachaua County personally appeared John R. Hague one of the subscribing
witnesses to the foregoing Indenture who beang duly sworn says he saw the
foregoing same signed Sealed and delivered by the party whose name
is thereunto subscribed

This Indenture made and entered into this twenty third day of May in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven between
Hugh Archer Junior Master in Chancery of the City of Talahssee and State
of Florida of the first part and William Marvin of the County of Monroe
and State aforesaid of the second part Whereas in a cause depending
in Leon Circuit Court whereas William Marvin is Complainant and Richard
H. Bradford Admr of Leigh Read decd is Defendant to Original Bill of
Complainant and Richard H. Bradford Admr of Leigh Read decd is Complainant
and William Marvin and others are Defendants to the Cross Bill a decree
was pronounced on the 11th day of Febury 1855 wherein among other things a
certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
in the State aforesaid was ordered and decreed to be sold by John G.
Reardon Special Master and Commissioner And whereas in conformity
to directions of said decree the said land was sold by the said John G.
Reardon Special Master and Commissioner And Whereas the said John G =
Reardon departed this life before the payment of all the purchase money for
said lands and the making of titles thereto And whereas by a Supplended
decree bearing even date herewith the said party of the first part is
ordered and directed to make and execute titles to the purchasers of the
lands aforesaid and whereas the said party of the second part is a purchaser
of part of the lands aforesaid Now, therefore this Indenture Witnesseth
that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the
premises and the balance of purchase money to wit two thousand five
hundred and fifty eight 47/100 dollars to him in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said party of second
part all that certain tract of land situate lying and beang in the County
of Alachaua containing four thousand acres which was granted by the
Spanish Government to Frances R. Sanches and subsequently confirmed
to him by the United States situate in township six (6) and seven (7)
south in Range (18) eighteen East and which was caused to be located
and surveyed for the said Sanches or his assigns under the authority of the
United States by the Surveyor General of Florida in the 2d quarter of
the year 1841 as will more fully appear by the maps plats and survey
