County of Alachua } made this the Twenty
sixth day of December AD one thousand
Eight hundred and sixty nine between
Eli Futch and his wife Martha C. Futch
the party of the first part and James
E.W. Markey, the party of the second part
all of the aforesaid State and County
Witnesseth that the said Eli Futch
and his wife Martha C. Futch the party
of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred and Sixty
Dollars to them in hand paid by the said
James E.W. Markey the party of the second
                                 truly
part, the receipts whereof is hereby acknol
edged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed
and by these presents doth grant bargain sell
and convey unto the said party of the second
                    or parcel
part all of that tract^of land Situated and lying
in the aforesaid State and County, known
and designated as the North West quarter
of the south East quarter of section
Twenty in Township (7) Seven South
of Range nineteen East in the district of
Lands Subject to Entry at Newnansville
Florida, containing Forty acres more or 
less to have and to hold said bargained
premises unto the said party of the
James E.W. Markey his heirs and assigns
forever and the above said Martha C.
Futch wife of the aforesaid Eli Futch
Doth by these presents relinquish all of
her rights and claims of Dower whatever
unto the said party of the second part and
and the aforesaid Eli Futch and his wife
Martha C. Futch, said bargained premises
together with all the rights & members
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertain
ing Shall and will forever Warrant and defend
the rights and titles thereto unto the said
James E.W. Markey his heirs and assigns
forever against themselves their heirs and
assigns and all other persons whomsoever
In Witness whereof the above said Eli Futch
and his wife Martha C. Futch have set their
hands & seals the day and year above written
