This Indenture made this Twenty sixth day of
January AD 1870, between Mary M. Lewis in her
own right and as heir at law & Legatee of Samuel
Betts deceased as also as Executrix of the last will
John H. Lewis decd party of the first part and
and testament of^^John E. Hicks of Alachua County Florida
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part
agrees upon the payment of the sum Two Thousand
Dollars by the said John E. Hicks in Manner
following to wit Five Hundred Dollars at this
date and the remainder on or before the 1st day
of December next with interest at 8 per cent to
Execute to said Hicks a Deed of the following
described land to wit Section 7 T 10 R 20 containing
578 89/100 acres and fractional Sec 18 T 10 R 20 containing
108 acres all in the Arodondo Grant in Alachua
Co Florida, said Deed to convey all the right
title and interest of said party of the first
part with covenant against all her own acts and
all taken by through or her right as above said
