                  This Indenture made this the
6th day of December AD 1869 by George L. Barnes
Sheriff of said County of the first part and William
Strickland of the County of Alachua of the
second part, whereas by virtue of sundry writs of
fieri facias Issued out of the Circuit Court of
Alachua County, and to the said Sheriff
delivered he was commanded that of the goods
and chattles lands and tenements of John T. Mathews
he cause to be made the sum of Five hundred fifty
four 24/100 dollars which Wm Strickland lately
recovered against said John T. Mathews with interest
thereon to gather with costs of suit and whereas
the said Sheriff by virtue of said writs did on
the 27th day of October AD 1869, levy upon and
Seize the property herein after described and 
whereas the said Geo L. Barnes as Sheriff as afore
said did by virtue of said writs and persuant
to the Statute in such cases made and provided
duly advertise the said property for sale on Monday
the 6th of December AD 1869 being the day of the date
of these presents and did on this day sell the
same at public auction according to law to
the said William Strickland of the County of
Alachua for the sum of Fifty Dollars being the
highest bidder for the same. Now therefore know
Ye that I the said George L. Barnes as said
Sheriff by virtue of the said Writs in such cases
made and provided and provided and in con
                      sum of
sideration of the said^Fifty Dollars to me
paid by the party of the second part, have granted
sold and by these presents do grant bargain and
unto the said party of the second part, his heirs
and assigns forever all the following property to wit
an undivided half interest in the North half 
of the North East Quarter of Section Fourteen Town
ship Eight Range nineteen S & E, containing
Eighty two 1/100 acres also the North West Quarter of
the South East quarter of section Fourteen
Township Eight Range Nineteen containing
forty one acres. In all one Hundred and Twenty
three acres, also the south West quarter of the west
half of the North West quarter of Section thirteen
and the north half of the north west quarter
of Section Twenty Four, The East half of the
South East quarter, and south west quarter
of South East quarter of Section Fourteen
