Sale on the 7th day of February A.D. 1870 and 
did on that day Sell the same at public 
auction according to Law to Martha Jane
Hainesworth for the sum of One Thousand
Dollars being the highest sum bid for the Same
Now Therefore Know Ye that I the said 
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid
by virtue of the said Writs and Statutes in
Such cases made and provided for, and in 
consideration of the said Sum of one Thousand
Dollars to me in hand paid by the said
Marth Jane Hainesworth party of the second 
part have granted, bargained and sold and 
by these presence do grant bargain and Sell 
unto the said Marth Jane Hainesworth party 
of the second part his heirs and assigns 
forever all the following property to wit,
The South 1/2 of lots 5 and 6 Section Four (4) and
the NE1/4 of Section five (5) and lots 1-2 & 3, of
Section 5 and the N1/2 of Section 8 Eight and the
north 1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 8, and the N1/2 of SW1/4
of Section 8, and the East 1/2 of the NE1/4 and the NW1/4
of the NE1/4 and the NE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 7
all in Township 8 south of Range 19 East contain
ing 1094 98/100 acres, also the SE1/4 of SE1/4 Sec 5
Tonship 8, South of Range 19-E- containing 40 acres more
or less together with all the rights titles inter
est, and Equities which the said Richard
P. Hainesworth had in or to the same to
have and to hold as fully as I, the Said 
George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might,
could or ought to sell and convey the same
given under my hand and Seal this the 7th 
day of February AD 1870  }
