Alachua County   } This indenture made and entered into
this 31st day of May AD 1869, between William Hickson Trustee
and James T. Noland witnesseth that the said Hickson as
trustee by virtue of the power conferred on him in the deed of trust
made to him by F.C. Johnson dated the fourteenth day of Decem
ber AD 1869, in consideration of the sum of twenty five hundred
Dollars ($2500.00) the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has
granted bargained and sold and by these presents does grant
bargain and sell and convey to the said James F. Noland
the following described property to wit, the lot or tract of land in
and adjoining the town of Micanopy in the County and State
aforesaid and bounded as follows; beginning at the North west
corner of the lot owned by Dr J.A. Stewart and running west
6.34/100 chains to the middle of the street in front of the house of Mrs
P.A. Smith, thence South 2.50 chains to a point, thence west
5 chains, thence south 14 91/100 chains to a set point thence East
4 40/100 chains to a set point, thence to the section line 9 11/ chains thence
East to the south west corner of the land of Dr. J.A. Stewart,
thence North 26 50/ chains to the place of beginning, containing
twenty five acres more or less, but reserving and excepting
from the lot a tract of land one acre square where the
Baptist church formerly stood (one acre square) in the North
West corner of said tract, To have and to hold the said lot or
tract of land to the said Noland, excepting the said acre,
his heirs and assigns forever, and I the said Hickson by vir=
tue of the said deed of trust do hereby convey to the said Noland
all the right, title & interest of the said F.C. Johnson whatsoever in
and to the said lot or tract of land. In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of May AD
1869. This deed is signed made subject to the rights of Hamp
ton Peterson the tenant for the present year
