This Indenture made this the Sixth day of
December A.D. 1869 by George L. Barnes Sheriff of said County of the
first part and William P. Colclough of said County of the second
part. Witnesseth, That Whereas by Virtue of Sundry Writs of Fieri
Facias issuing out of the Circuit Court of said County and
to the said Sheriff directed, He was commanded that the
goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements of James W. McRae deceased,
he cause to be made the sum of One Hundred and ninety eight
55/100 dollars with interest and cost of suit which Jessie R. Whaley lately
on the 13th day of May A.D. 1868 recovered against him, as well as for
the Sum of Seventy one 66/100 dollars, with interest thereon and costs of suit
--------------------- which Mary E. Snipes lately on the 11th day of May A.D. 1868 recovered
$100 U.S.R. against him, as well as the sum of One Hundred twenty two 40/100
Stamp Canselled dollars with interest thereon together with costs of suit which
--------------------- Gabriel P. Thomas lately on the 10th day of September A.D. 1869 recovered
against him, as well as the sum of Two Hundred and thirty eight 32/100
dollars with interest therein together with costs of suit which Thomas
& Kennedy lately on the 11th day of September 1869 recovered against
Nancy McRae Admx &c of the Estate of J.W. McRae deceased
and whereas I the said Sheriff by Virtue of said writs, due on
the 29th day of September A.D. 1869 levy upon and Seize
the property hereinafter described and Whereas
the said Geo L. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid
did by virtue of said writs and pursuant to the
statutes in such cases made and provided duly
advertize the said property for sale on Monday
the sixth day of December A.D. 1869 and being the day
and date of these presents and did on this
day sell the same at public auction accor
=ding to law to the said William P. Colclough
of the County of Alachua for the sum of six
Hundred and fifty six 46/100 dollars being the highest
bidder for the same, Now therefore, Know Ye,
that I the said George L. Barnes as said Sheriff
by virtue of the said Writs in such cases made
and provided and in consideration of the said
sum of Six Hundred Dollars and fifty Six 46/100
dollars to me in hand paid by the party
of the second part, have granted Sold and
by these presents do grant bargain and Sell
unto the said party of the second part his
following
heirs and assigns forever all the^property
to Wit Block Number Two (2) Range number
Six (6) situated in the Town of Gainesville
with all the improvements appertaining thereto
with all the rights tittles and interest of
