presents that for and in consideration of the
sum of Four Hundred Dollars to us in hand paid
We S.J. Downing & Rebecca Downing of the County and
State aforesaid, parties of the first part do bargain
 grant
sell release & convey and have by these presents
bargained granted sold Released and conveyed
unto Raphael Campbell of said County and State
party of the second, all that parcel or tract of
land being and Situate & lying in the said County
of Alachua known by the number of the United
States Survey as lot No 1 containing 19.90 lot 2
containing 45 & lot No 3 containing 70.65 acres
making in all One hundred & Thirty five 55/100 acres
all said land lying in Section (4) Four Township
(8) Eight Range 18 Eighteen East, To have and to hold
bounded on the North & East by the George Atkinson
grant. To Have and To Hold unto the said party of
second part during his Natural life time & in case
of his death then said land to vest in R.W. Campbell
and the heirs of his body in fee simple forever,
all and singular right premesis hereditaments
and all privaleges in any wise pertaining thereto

Alachua County   } Be it known that on the day &
year above written, personally came Rebecca Downing
one of the parties of the first part, to the above Deed &
to me Well known as the Identical person whose sign
ature appears above who being privately Examined apart
from her husband the said S.J. Downing says she of
her own free will and accord & without fear or
restraint of her said husband, did sign seal and
deliver said Deed in connection with her said
husband, for the purposes therein mentioned
