State of Florida } Before me Wm K. Cessna Clerk of
Alachua County   } the Circuit Court for the fifth Judicial
Circuit of Florida in and for Alachua County personally
came Erasmus M. Thompson, who being duly sworn says
he Witnessed the Execution of the foregoing Deed of Convey
ance and that the same was so Executed for the pur
poses and uses therein mentioned & Set forth

     Sheriffs Deed

State of Florida  }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made this Sev
enth day of February AD 1870 Between Sheriff
George L. Barnes Sheriff of Said County of 
the first Part, and Samuel Y. Finley and Alfred
G. Vineyard of the County of Alachua State of
Florida, of the second part Witnesseth That
Whereas by virtue of a Writ of Fieri Facias, issued 
out of the Circuit Court for said County and to
him the said Sheriff directed, he was comman
ded that of the good and chattles, lands and tenements 
of James A. McRora he cause to be made the 
sum of Four hundred and Sixty four Dollars and 
ninety cents damages and fifty three Dollars and Sixty
cents cost Taxed in Said cause, with interest there
=on, to gather with costs of suits which the said
Alfred G. Vineyard, lately on the 25th day of Nov
ember, AD 1869 recovered in our Said Court against
the said James McRora and Whereas I George
L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said 
Writ, did on the 20th day of December AD 1869 levy 
upon and Seize the property, to wit herein after des
cribed and did by virtue of said Writs and per
suant to the Statutes made and provided duly 
advertize the said property for Sale on the 
7th day of February AD 1870 and did on that
day, Sell the same at Public Auction according 
to law, to the Parties of the Second part for the
Sum of Three hundred dollars being the highest 
sum bid for the Same. Now therefore Know 
Ye that I the Said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as afore
