as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said Writ did on the 
27th day of October A.D. 1869 levy upon and Seize the property 
hereinafter described and did by virtue of said Writs and 
persuant to the Statutes in such case mad and pro
=vided duly advertize the said property for sale on the 
6th day of December A.D. 1869 and did on that day sell 
the same at public auction according to Law, to Eliza
=beth Malphus for the sum of Twenty five Dollars 
being the highest sum bid for the Same Now therefore 
Know Ye, that I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as 
aforesaid by virtue of said Writs and of the Statutes in such 
cases made and provided for, and in consideration of said sum 
of Twenty five Dollars to me in hand paid by the said Eliza
beth Malphus party of the second part have granted 
bargained and Sold and by these presents, do grant 
bargain and Sell unto the said Elizabeth Malphus party 
of the second part her heirs and assigns for Ever all the 
following property to wit, The South West quarter of north
west quarter and West half of South West quarter of
Section Two (2) and north East quarter of South East
quarter Section Three (3) Township Eight, Range Nineteen
South and East, togather with all the rights, tittles interests
and Equities which the said Elizabeth Malphus admx had 
of, or in or to the same To have and To hold as fully as
I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid
Might, could or ought to sell and convey the same

December A.D. 1869
