and did on that day sell the same at
public auction according to Law to George W.
Means administrator of John W. Anderson for the
sum of Ten thousand Dollars being the highest
sum bid for the same Now Therefore
Know Ye, That I the said George L. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said
writs and the Statutes in such Cases made
and provided for and in Consideration
of said sum of Ten Thousand Dollars
to me in hand paid by said George W.
Means admr party of the second part,
have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents, do grant bargain and sell
unto the said George W. Means admr party
of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever all the following property to wit,
Lots 8 and 9 of the Arredondo Grant, (Eight and Nine)
bounded on the North by Paynes Prairie on the
east by land belonging to the estate of W.W.
Geiger deceased and lands now owned by
H. Freymouth the South by land of the Estate
of W.W. Geiger deceased and on the west,
by Levy prairie Containing Three Thousand Three
hundred and Thirty Three and one third acres togeather
with all the rights, titles interest and equities
which the said George Leitner had of in
or to the same to have and to hold as fully
as I the said George L. Barnes, as Sheriff as afore
said might could or ought to sell and Convey
the same
Given under my hand and seal this the 6th day
of December A.D. 1869
